Welcome to C-Picks

C-Picks presents implementation experiences, evaluations, strategic thinking, and tools and resources relevant to social and behaviour change communication (SBCC) that have been selected by C-Change from The CI Network's overall knowledge base. Funded by USAID and managed by AED, C-Change works with global, regional, and local partners to apply innovative approaches to social and behaviour change communication in the health sector - specifically HIV and malaria prevention, use of modern and appropriate family planning methods, access to reproductive, antenatal, and maternal health care services - and is expanding to the democracy and governance and environmental sectors.

A variety of materials are added under the sections below. While not intended to be comprehensive, the materials available on this website provide recent as well as time-tested information that may be of value to your work in social and behaviour change communication.

The Gender Scales Compendium, developed by C-Change under USAID's direction, is a tool to assess gender-related attitudes and beliefs and evaluate the success of interventions incorporating gender approaches. The Compendium comprises eight scales that measure beliefs, attitudes, and practices relating to issues such as couples communication, decision-making about sex, household and parental responsibilities, gender-based violence, and societal acceptance of inferior roles for women and girls.
